TummyGize is one of my favorite oils even as an adult, I like to use it in place of DiGize sometimes because it smells better, ha!  This blend is awesome when applied topically on little ones’ tummies, for any minor upset.  It contains refreshing oils like spearmint, peppermint, ginger, and tangerine and works SO WELL at calming troubled tummies!

SniffleEase

SniffleEase essential oil blend is perfect for sniffles and stuffiness, as it provides soothing vapors that help to calm breathing.  You can use this in the diffuser, and you can also apply it topically to the chest and throat, as well as on the spine or feet.  This blend contains Young Living’s RC blend, plus Lavender, Eucalyptus Blue, and other soothing oils.

SleepyIze

SleepyIze is another one of my favorites, I keep this one on my night stand and use it before bed!  It is so helpful to use for restful sleep at night, as it contains so many calming oils like Rue, Valerian, Lavender, Roman Chamomile and more.  I like to put a drop on my pillow!  This is great to add to your child’s diffuser before bed, or to rub on their feet or spine before they go to sleep.

Roller Tops

The technical name is ‘AromaGlide Fitments’, and you get 2 of these roller tops in the KidScents Starter Kit!  You can put these on top of any of your oils for easy application, TummyGize and GeneYus would be my top 2 picks!

The Red Drink – Sulfurzyme + NingXia Recipe

I recently came across this recipe for the ‘Red Drink’, and it is so easy to make!

What is the Red Drink? It’s a combo of NingXia, Sulfurzyme, and citrus essential oils.

Let’s talk about the benefits of each:

NingXia Red

NingXia Red is a superfood antioxidant drink.  It is a puree made from the whole NingXia wolfberry, so it is a whole food supplement.  The ORAC score of NingXia Red is 27,300!  In comparison, the ORAC of blueberries (which are very high in antioxidants) is about 4,700.  The biggest differences we’ve seen as a family in incorporating NingXia Red daily are increased wellness (we haven’t been sick with even the sniffles in over a year!) and increased energy.  NingXia also supports normal cellular health and eye health!  In my opinion, if you take one supplement, this one is it.  We take between 1-2 oz of NingXia Red each day.

Sulfurzyme

The main ingredient in Sulfurzyme is MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), which is an organic form of sulfur.  Sulfur is the 4th most plentiful mineral in our bodies, and when you research the benefits of MSM, they are plentiful.  Increased immunity, support for joints, skin, hair, and nails, increased energy levels, and support for gut health are just some of the benefits of MSM.  Because sulfur is so plentiful in our bodies, it is critical for things to function properly!

Citrus Essential Oils

Citrus oils such as Lemon, Grapefruit, and Lime Vitality oils all offer benefits, including antioxidant properties, support for the lymphatic, circulatory, immune system, and more.

Recently I came across a recipe combining all of these awesome ingredients into a yummy drink!  The bonus is that I have been drinking more water!

Red Drink Recipe

1-2 oz NingXia Red

1/2 – 1 tsp Sulfurzyme

3 drops of a citrus Vitality oil (I love Grapefruit)

In an empty NingXia bottle, fill with water but leave room for your NingXia!  Add your NingXia, Sulfurzyme, and 3 drops of citrus Vitality oil, and shake. Drink throughout the day.

How to Make Pumpkin Spice Thieves Cleaner!

It’s Fall, so Pumpkin Spice all the things, right?!  Ha!  Did you know you can add your favorite essential oils to your Thieves Cleaner and completely customize the scent?!  It’s seriously one of my favorite things to do!

Thieves Cleaner is one of the BEST values in the Young Living catalog because just one bottle of concentrate makes 29 bottles of cleaner… seriously, where else can you get a completely safe AND effective cleaner for less than $1/bottle?!  Insane.  This cleaner can replace all of your household cleaners and help you DITCH toxins from your home.  You can use it to pre-treat laundry, make a soft scrub for sinks and bathtubs, spray down countertops and toilets, and much MUCH more.

For an extra special touch, you can customize the scent.  You probably came here for the Pumpkin Spice recipe, so here it is!

Pumpkin Spice Thieves Cleaner

+1 capful Thieves Cleaner
+10 drops Orange
+5 drops Cinnamon Bark
+2 drops Clove
+2 drops Nutmeg
+2 drops Ginger
Fill with 16oz distilled water, shake, and clean away in heavenly pumpkin aroma!

 

Personal Favorite

My personal favorite way to scent Thieves Cleaner is by adding 10 drops of Christmas Spirit and 10 drops of Northern Lights Black Spruce.  HEAVENLY!

Adding essential oils to your Thieves Cleaner is totally not necessary, it smells so great as is.  But adding oils bumps it up a notch in my opinion, and it makes me motivated to clean and wipe down EVERYTHING!

How to Make an Essential Oil Diffuser Bomb

Diffuser bombs… I am loving this concept!  So simple.  In a nutshell, you take your favorite diffuser combos and put them into one bottle.  When it’s time to fill your diffuser, rather than hunting around your house for all your oils, just use the oils from your diffuser bomb bottle.  Or am I the only one who’s like, “Where’d I put the Northern Lights/Peppermint/Palmarosa/Eucalyptus/etc.?”  I use the oils for all sorts of things around my house, and making bottles of your favorite diffuser combos just keeps things so easy!  Here is a quick video on what this looks like:

You can buy larger bottles (1 or 2 ounce) if you want to make a large quantity, but I just use my empty 15ml bottles plus a glass dropper from Amazon, and then my favorite label maker so I know what’s in there!

Today I made a diffuser bomb called ‘Fall’ with equal parts Thieves, Orange, and Lime.  It smells like a fall candle!

You can make any of your favorite diffuser recipes into a diffuser bomb, here are a few awesome combos:

• Fall: Thieves + Orange + Lime
• Spa: Eucalyptus Radiata + Spearmint + Lime or Clary Sage
• Pumpkin Spice: 3 drops each Clove + Cinnamon Bark, Orange + 1 drop each Ginger + Nutmeg (multiply for diffuser bomb)
  
• Aveda: Rosemary + Orange + Ylang Ylang + Peppermint + Lavender + Bergamot
• Aveda Spa: Lavender + Rosemary + Marjoram + Bergamot + Orange + Ylang Ylang
• Luscious Lemon : 2 drops each Lemon + Lemon Myrtle + Eucalyptus + Ylang Ylang + 1 drop each Spearmint + Cinnamon Bark (multiply for diffuser bomb)
• Anthro: Rosemary + Lime + Tangerine + Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood + Lemon Myrtle
• Fall Anthro: Christmas Spirit + Clove + Bergamot + Grapefruit

Do you already do this?!  Seems like common sense, but I just started, ha!!!  Diffusing essential oils is one of the first simple steps you can take to detoxing your home.  Ditch the toxic candles and diffuse instead!

Back to School Essential Oil Recipes

This school year is so different for most of us, and many of us parents are finding ourselves as the TEACHERS!  Check out some of these great essential oil recipes to get you (whether you’re a parent or a teacher… or both!) and your kids through the school day.

 

First up, so many schools are requiring masks. :(  If this is a necessity for your kids, you can roll some oils on that promote focus and clarity AND that contain sesquiterpenes, which increase oxygen in the brain.   Because if you’re wearing a mask, fresh oxygen is in short supply!  Here’s a mask roll-on recipe for all you mamas doing all you can to help your kids through this trying time.

Did you know that sesquiterpenes can increase levels of oxygen in the brain?  Sesquiterpenes are found in high amounts in Frankincense, Cedarwood, Vetiver, Sandalwood, and Patchouli.  Get that oxygen to the brain!

Parents and teachers… sometimes you need an energy pick-me-up.  Make yourself a NingXia Bomb… energy that won’t leave you with the jitters!
